2025 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race Reports
Happy Wednesday, cycling fans! I’d like to start off by apologising for the late running of this week’s post. I had a busy weekend so didn’t get a chance to watch the races until yesterday and today. Starting off with the women’s race, which took place on Saturday, Kim Cadzow was the first rider to launch an attack, but she then returned to the peloton. Her EF Education-Oatly teammate Babette van der Wolf then launched an attack of her own and was joined by Stine Dale. While this was going on, a crash occurred which included Australia’s Maeve Plouffe, riding for the national team. Marit Raaijmakers was then involved in another crash shortly after. Stine Dale ended up taking the first Queen of the Mountains points with just over 30km to go, with van der Wolf coming second and Amber Kraak coming third on the climb. Babette van der Wolf was then caught by the peloton with around 26km to go, and a while later with 18.8km to go, Dale was also caught by the peloton. Tiffany Cromwell tr...
